Who is VIA Mission?
Let us find, qualify and help to accomplish the visions of the Lord given to that person compelled missionary while he was in Somalia. With that call, a few evangelical professionals found VIA Mission in 1994 to establish Financially Sustainable Spiritual Communities.
VIA is abiding in the Lausanne Covenant (http://www.Lausanne.org).
The idea for Vision International Alliance was born in 1994 when missionaries returned from ministering in Somalia. While they were working there, they saw the need for a group
of people dedicated to proclaiming the good news of the Gospel and to helping the
evangelized peoples become financially self-sufficient. Such self-sufficiency would enable the communities to break the debilitating cycle of being dependent on others for their support and strength. With this twofold purpose, Vision International Alliance has grown from an idea into an alliance of like-minded business and religious professionals.
Vision International Alliance is committed to helping the local, native population become self-sustaining. That means that through VIA and its associate and cooperative organizations, those communities will be able to function completely on their own without depending on help from other entities.
